Richard Benton……………………………………………. The Zen Landscapist Explains His Power
_________________________________________________
Earth owns my soul
I have no ego
I glide over land and plant myself like a tree.
Then my hands are branches
Softly greeting other branches
My feet are roots
Feeling throughout the ground
From there I sense all at once.
If I turn my eyes inward
It’s to prod my love outward
I don’t have an ego anymore.
This is something I just give
So that my sight
Spreads a silver dew on the land my soul
Plants its trees, plants me, upon
To love.
